Today we had a great time at Velta and Jason's house visiting with Nicole and Josh, who are visiting from Texas!

Out of This World!
They said this year's Perseid Meteor Shower would be a great show, but we didn't see a thing when we watched the sky on Monday evening.

So on Wednesday (Aug. 12) we took a trip to the Griffith Observatory!
o
Naturally, I took only my cell phone camera to one of the world's best photo-op spots. Here Deacon making his best James Dean face.
o
Once inside, the place did not disappoint! This guy made a comet out of common household materials.
o
Deacon and Maren and Pluto, which is still very much considered a planet in the Alff household!
o
Exploring the whole universe can make you thirsty! A stop at the cafeteria.
o
