BREAKING NEWS: 3.8 Earthquake Westwood, CA

3.8 magnitude earthquake in Westwood felt here at AFB HQ by Deacon, not felt by anyone else.

Upon hearing Deacon's report of the quake, Maren immediately ran to the 'fridge, took out the whipped cream and said, "I'm celebrating surviving the quake."

The AFB will provide updates as the situation develops.

UPDATE 9:31 PM 6/1/14: USGS has just upgraded magnitude to 4.2.

Look, I don't know how it is in other families, but when an earthquake strikes, we're more concerned with people, not things. I have no problem with someone eating whipped cream right out of the can to celebrate survival. But hey, at least do the right thing and leave SOME whipped cream for the other survivors in the house!

Well, at least Derek is teaching the kids the survival skills he honed during the Loma Prieta earthquake.
