Who's Payton? Sounds like a character from a soap opera.
Well at least Mom and Dad beat out Adam and Eve, but just barely.......
In June when I come for my visit, I think I'll bring an extra suitcase full of toys just for Maren, That should move me up on the list :)
But we didn't rank above Maren herself, or horses.
Payton is her best friend from preschool, and she is just like Maren except that she has jet-black hair and better eating habits.
I'm working on my ranking. No excuses. I feel with a lot of hard work and being the kind of person I know I can be, doing what it takes to be a winner - you know, taking my game to the next level - I will make the playoffs and rise to the top.
Hey, take nothing away from the opposition, Derek: they give one-hundred and ten percent every time. It's a tough situation, no question, but if you stay within yourself, you'll be right there at the end.
Gramps is not at all happy with his rating and is working on a plan to move up, all the while berating me for my inclination to bribe Maren with a suitcase full of toys. He says bribery is always wrong and it doesn't work anyway. In his view, threats will work better, like no cookies or candy and removal from the will.
It's harsh but fair.
An intriguing tactic... although Maren might counter-threat with some karate moves.
