It's just up the block from our house, so with streets blocked off, it's the one day of the year the kids can walk in the middle of the street! We told them to "act crazy", and this is what they did.

You've requested politics on the blog... here you go! Here's the Mayor...

The only person more exciting than Elvis...
...and Ronald McDonald...
...is parade participant (and close personal Friend of the Alffs) Natalie Kwant!!
And here are Natalie's proud parents, Suanne and Steve.
It's pretty hot out here... parade fatigue begins to set in.
Always a Burbank Parade favorite... the Reel Cowboys!

Kids playing in the street. Hmm. Im glad you explained it...Deacon carefully on the yellow line and Maren facing oncoming traffic. Nice!
I like the outfits...cute as usual. How did Maren skin both knees... she looks like a bandaged Coder kid.
Thanks for the political nod...it came up a bit short but with a no vote from the big B I can see why my request was vetoed. I agree that politics in any form is exhausting.
Are the Reel Cowboys actors who play cowboys in movies?
Love M
Well, I went to their website (http://www.reelcowboys.org/) and it says that the group is "made up of motion picture professionals who have worked in Western films, television and rodeos across the nation."
Maren's knees are much better, after 3 or 4 falls in a 24-hour period. She loves the big bandages, though, and doesn't want to take them off!
...and then another time I saw Ron "Arnold Horshack" Palillo...
Yeah, Derek, very cooooool!
Glad Maren's little knees are better!!!
Yes! I thought I was right about the reelcowboys!!!!
