Calvary Chapel Burbank Dedication Service

Yesterday was the big day for Calvary Chapel Burbank! We dedicated, or as Pastor Tim said, re-dedicated our building, which has a rich history and bright future in the service of the Lord.
o
What an event! It was SO NEAT!! That's what I kept thinking throughout the service. This is just SO NEAT! There was just one great moment after another. Today I feel like it was a movie that I want to see again! UPDATE: Here's the video!
o
Here we go with pictures!

Susie Ribnik made this beautiful wall hanging, a stained glass quilt, for the church. It is such a blessing to everyone! THANK YOU SUSIE!! Derek hung it in the Upper Room and it looks great there.

15 minutes before the service, Derek and the guys work to get a video signal to the Upper Room, which served as the overflow room...

Wait a second -- Derek is EVERYWHERE!!

The worship team... we all look a bit Up-With-Peopleish in this picture. I think we were just excited that the service was starting!

Here is Pastor Jay Campbell, who pastored in our building from 1947 to 1963. What a treat to hear this man! After a wonderful video introduction, Pastor Campbell, who is 94 and didn't want to speak for fear of voice difficulties, got up and brought the house down (his booming voice did not falter!) It was an amazing moment.
B
Burbank Mayor Marsha Ramos spoke of the way the faith-based community in Burbank was coming together. She was very warm and genuine, and it was another great moment.

Tim with his "Dream Team": Gino Gaudio, our real estate broker (and singer -- he sang The Lord's Prayer!), Pastor Ross Purdy, and Brian Weber (real estate guy for the Presbyterians). They all spoke of the truly great arrangement God had orchestrated between the churches. Here, Pastor Ross Purdy from First Presbyterian Church of Burbank says a few words about the relationship between our churches and how it is part of a true revival in Burbank.
P
Pastor John Miller of Calvary Chapel San Bernardino, a friend of Tim's from back in their European ministry days, gave a great message.
