TRUNK or Treat!

We had a lot of fun this evening Trunk-or-Treating at St. Paul's!
o
A hybrid of tailgating and trick-or-treating, the first annual St. Paul's TRUNK-or-Treat night was a big success.

o
Some dinner to start things off...

o
All of the cars were decked out!

o
We were particularly appreciative of the Star Wars car.

o
Here's Maren in her new flower costume... we'll have to keep tinkering with the bee, which is supposed to stick straight up from the middle of her head.

o
The Alff kids came back to their own car for candy many times!

o
Our car

o
Mommy passes out candy.

o
The transformation from a mild-mannered St. Paul's student...

o
Into Cinko the Uglydoll! Unrecognizable in his costume, Deacon had the added benefit of going to every car twice for candy, once in the costume, and once as Deacon the Student.

o
Declaring that she'd had enough candy, Maren got into the car and asked to be driven home. The only one of us not under the influence of massive amounts of sugar, Daddy was the designated driver.

You are the costume queen, Terri. That Ugly Doll is amazing and I love the flower. Chalk up another success! I've been bragging about you here in Auburn!

Love M

The kids look great and your car looks great with the lights and all--not quite as good as the Star Wars car though. Maren and Deacon's costumes are spectacular!! And I think the bee looks just fine even if it is a little askew (is that a word?) because it has a happy smile on it's face!

Thanks M! And if I'm the costume queen, you're the costume superqueen. I'll always be in awe of you and your many talents.

Grammie, I'm ashamed not to have thought of doing a Star Wars car ourselves. So we promise not to let you down next year. And "askew" is posidefinitarily a word.
