Knowing a little something about having true affection for electronic devices, we at the AFB felt compelled to post a tribute today to mark the passing of "Chroni," Brent's cherished clock radio. In Brent's own words:

One glorious day in June of 1979 I made my first electronic purchase... a digital alarm clock from Radio Shack. I saved for several months to buy it. 31 years later at 9:03pm tonight, I walked into the bedroom and to my horror, it has passed on. Good-bye Chronomatic-212, my old friend.

We happen to know that Brent buys only the best when it comes to electronics (as he has been generous enough to pass some of them on to us after he has replaced them with newer models), and we're sure this clock radio was no exception.

RIP Chroni! May you be ticking away in clock heaven!

The Emerson clock radio I've had since the mid 80's is still going strong.
