Home on the Range

Yesterday, we visited the William S. Hart Museum in Newhall, CA!

o
Deacon wanted to make sure he would fit in with the Western theme, insisting he wear a hat, sheriff's badge, moustache and gun belt to the museum.

William S. Hart on his favorite horse, Fritz.

o
Our guide, Ron, gives us the grand tour.

o
Derek and the kids admired this original painting...

o
...while I admired the fact that someone could keep this very old bathroom so clean!

o
The kids pause to pay their respects at the dog graveyard.

o
Then... a trip to the gift shop!

o
Afterward we went to that very western-themed restaurant, Mimi's Cafe, for some grub.

I like the way Deacon's strutting around the gift shop...looks like he's not messin' around.
